Cheerleading is often thought of as a highschool and college sport.   The people involved in the sport are known as ‘Cheerleaders’ and they need to be physically fit to be able to perform the cheer routines which involve dance, jumps, cheers, tumbling and gymnastics.  There are local and national tournaments held every year.  The main aim of the cheers is to rally the crowds at sporting events eg baseball.
